Navy Bird Circle
We like the elegance of Lufthansa's crane: a century-old bird drawn with just a few lines that still feels fast and modern.

About the Lufthansa logo
The Lufthansa logo is the crane: a stylised bird in flight with outstretched, streamlined wings, drawn in deep navy inside a thin circle. Its long beak points to the left while the wing feathers sweep back in parallel lines, giving a strong sense of speed. The crane dates back to 1918 and a design by Otto Firle. When Lufthansa changed its livery in 2018 it kept the encircled crane but swapped the yellow background for dark blue, moving the brand to a deep blue and white palette.
