About the Unsplash logo
The Unsplash logo is a monochromatic mark composed of two distinct geometric shapes. A solid square sits at the top center, separated by a narrow horizontal gap from a larger, U-shaped block below. The lower element features a deep rectangular cutout that mirrors the width of the upper square, creating a sense of vertical alignment. The design relies on sharp, right-angled edges and a flat, solid black fill (#000000) to create a high-contrast, minimalist appearance. The overall structure is symmetrical and balanced, using negative space to define the central void between the two components.
