What catches our eye is the use of a single, unbroken line to create the complex silhouette of a chess knight, which feels both elegant and efficient.

About the Lichess logo
The Lichess logo features a stylized profile of a chess knight, rendered in a single, continuous line. The mark is drawn with a thick, uniform stroke that curves smoothly to form the horse's head, neck, and mane. The design is minimalist, using negative space to define the interior of the shape against the solid black form. The color is a near-black shade (#111111), giving the mark a sharp, high-contrast appearance. The overall shape is contained within a circular boundary, suggesting a sense of completeness and focus.
